Quakes
Jesus said (in the Olivet Discourse) in Matthew 24, that one of the signs of the end of the age preceding his
second coming, would be earthquakes. Jesus said that it would be like a woman in travail, in the pangs of birth.
Thus the expectation is for the earthquakes to increase in severity and frequency preceding his return.
USGS reports increase in Quakes
The USGS (United States Geological Survey) tries to deny the increase of Earthquake activity, but their own
statistics show that quakes are on the increase.
The total number of quakes recorded by year is as follows;
In the 1980's there were 101 major quakes.
In the 1990's there were 174 major quakes.
Clearly there is an increase in quake activity.
